Living In The Land Down Unda

Well to start off the flight over here wasn't THAT bad. I actually enjoyed the 14 hour flight from LA to Sydney because I was able to was 6 movies! I watched 2 then I started getting a little tired so I shot a 5 hour energy drink and watched 4 more! It was great. That is how I recommend getting through that flight..MOVIES. When we got here we had Christmas with the family which was great! It was so good to be all together again. Then on the 28th we flew to Brisbane (Brizzy they say) to do some travelling. There we went to the Steve Irwin Zoo, it was cool. Lots of Steve Irwin memorial stuff there. His wife Terry and their kids Bindy and Bob were there and they all came to feed the crocs! Bob is SO cute.

I wish I could've gotten a closer picture. But here is Terry Bob and Bindi

The signs just as you go into the zoo.

This is Lake McKenzie, it's on Fraser Island. Fraser Island is made completely of sand, there are no rocks. To get to this lake we endured a VERY bumpy ride for a couple of hours but it was SO worth it. Lake McKenzie's water comes from rain, and leaves by evaporation. It is the purest water you will EVER swim in. There are no fish in the lake, it literally tastes like bottled water. The sand on the beach is white and is like powder. I loved it here, if I ever go back to Brisbane I will for sure try and go there again. They are so keen on keeping the pollution down in the water that they ask you to use as little sunscreen as possible. The water is just so pure and clean I love it!

This is Noosa Beach. It was so nice the day we went! I never wear sunscreen and I didn't this day either, I payed for it aswell, got a really nice sunburn. I loved Noosa didn't want to leave, I could see myself easily living there for the rest of my life. The waves were so great there, we had a lot of fun body surfing.

Some more of Noosa.

Next Stop....SYDNEY

In Sydney we went to the Olympic Park. I was the only one who really wanted to go, since I LOVE the Olympics. It was cool to see the stuff for sure, here is a statue at the Olympic park.

Brandy and Katelyn posing with the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

We OBVIOUSLY had to see the all famous Sydney Opera house. It was so cool to be there and see it in real life, not just in movies.

Before I go on I need to thank my mom for booking the best hotels EVER. In each Hotel we had such great views of the city we stayed in, it was great for pictures! I am not going to post all the pictures because it would just take too long. Anyway this is Bondi Beach. Great beach! It was a 10 minute bus ride from our hotel. If you go to Sydney I would reccomend staying at Bondi Junction...there are so many little shops, and the mall is right there and the bus stop is too!

Us 4 kids (Brittany left either this day or the day before to go back to school) and Mom at the Sydney temple.

Also if you are ever in Sydney...you MUST go to Burgerfuel. Best burgers on the planet that I have come across. Brittany came here with Amanda two years ago, and we revisited it twice while in Sydney. Burgers are HUGE and just great!

There is just so much to do on the EAST side and so many things to see. I loved it over there! I hope if the opportunity arrises for you to go to Australia I hope you take it without hesitation. The people are so nice, the beaches are out of this world, and food is pretty good!! Till next time xoxo

Yay for a new post! :) I won't lie... now that I'm posting a comment, my eyes are kinda tripped out! Haha weird. Maybe I'm just tired. Umm yes - pulling up your blog and seeing your banner... SO made me have such an itch to go to Australia and visit you! Soo badly! I'm so jealous of your pictures, it looks like you're having such a blast! What a fun experience for your family too! And you KNOW as soon as I saw the picture of the statue at the Olympic park that I thought "Ooooh Karly!" Haha. Speaking of Olympics... Madi is SO obsessed with the Olympics this year for some reason. Kinda reminds me of you a little bit! She made an olympic statue thing at a primary activity this week and today decided she wanted to make her very own olympic torch. Then she felt the need to make lots of little flags and glue them onto pencils, and then tonight while our family was all here at Heathers for dinner, Madi youtubed the Olympic song from the last Olympics and played it while she and the other grandkids marched around the house carrying flags and banners and the torch. Hmm.. looks like you've trainer her well Karol! ;)

LOVE YOU
